English class and volunteers

After our English class today our translator, Igor, found a very hard to use guitar and managed a great version of "Have you ever seen the rain?" (CCR). Then the four in the advanced class figured out how we will buy fruit in a local market and distribute it to refugees in Stryiskyi Park.

Over lunch in the student cafeteria, which we found out distributes food for refugees, funded by World Central Kitchen, we met the director, we think, of UK4UA,  a voluntary organisation that helps organise the procurement and transport of medicines and other aid from the UK. Hopefully, another useful contact.

We think we will be able to finally link a sponsor family in Colne, who have been let down by the bureaucracy of the UK visa application scheme, with a mother and her son, who is applying to Nelson and Colne College.
