Much poetry has been written about the fallen in war. I fear there will be more....

Today has been a day of helping families who want to move to England.
On a personal level, we started the process of offering 2 families the opportunity of staying in our home in Trawden, with the help of 3 people in Chester prepared to financially make the project viable. We were able to meet with the families and move forward.
Means we will be away from our home for up to a year. The thought is quite daunting if truth be told...but at least we are safe. Many of the families here are not.
Fiona saw a funeral of two soldiers killed in the war this morning. She said it was a very moving moment. The street was packed with mourners including a large number of soldiers. As the coffins arrived, all those in the street knelt in complete silence. As the coffins went into the church, the mourners rose and filed into the church accompanied by the haunting sound of Gregorian chant. Such sadness. Words will be written....too many on gravestones.
