80kg of fruit.....

was delivered to the centre today. I would never have guessed the weight of the fruit if we had not been told. We have found it a bit of a challenge to share the fruit out fairly, but found a solution today. A Polish funded centre seems to have a good idea of the number of children at the refugee centre. With this in mind, we have decided to let them give out the fruit to the children. We're still going into the rooms of the refugee centre as well, so as not to miss out the elderly and disabled.

We were also able to purchase much needed aid for the front line with money donated. This is not always as easy as you might think, as many things have run out.

And that brings us to the main possibility for future development. One of the challenges we have seen here is that a lot of medical aid gets "stuck" in warehouses, doing no good whatsoever. We are going to try and find a way of supplying aid in a more timely manner - provision to the front line by unblocking the supply chain. This is at a very early stage and we shall see if it comes to anything.

Otherwise, we are working on helping families make flight bookings to come to England. It will be a new world for them.
Leaving much behind, including husbands and families. May they all find peace in the UK.

The picture is the Opera House in Lviv. How can there be this normality in the most awful of times?
