Back on the road...

although it seems as if we haven't been of the road for a long time. We will deliver more aid tomorrow. Many people use I.T and different apps to plan their schedules and logistics.....this is our way

Today we were able to meet up with the two Polish vans and drivers who have returned from Kherson. They described the situation as dire, with villages completely destroyed. People have no electricity, no running water. No roofs above their heads. They are living in basements, sharing what little they have. Desperate for help, aid and support.

The Polish van crews reported seeing mines in many places. The Russians have left mines and tripwires everywhere. The Ukranian bomb disposal units are being primarily used at the front so the villages will unfortunately have to wait. They also reported a lot of ongoing shelling. We have utmost respect for what our Polish friends accomplished. However, we were very concerned about the risks that they took, but their description of what they saw will direct how aid is best utilised.

On a personal basis we have become very fond of the 3 Polish muscateers. Friendships developed in strange circumstances. It's been a pleasure and a privilege working with them.

We're not sure how these communities will survive the winter, but one way or another they must survive. If Ukraine can survive this winter, some commentators, and Zelensky himself, have predicted that Ukraine will go on to win the war. Let's hope it's so.

The first photo is a new Banksy painting in Kyiv.
The others from Ternopil on our journey today.
The last photo is a sculpture in a square called something like chance meeting....we have so many of these....
We would also like to thank our kind friends in Ternopil for once more sharing their home and ideas with us.
