Odesa to Khemelnytskyi

The title, the mirror image of yesterday. Weather not much improved.
Still, no two days are the same. Because of the connections we were able to make yesterday, the aid we took down has been successfully divided, going to different areas and  people who will best be able to utilise the aid.
The journey has been a bit challenging due to the distance covered in a relatively short time, but more so because of the windscreen wipers not working.... given the road conditions and the muck coming up from the road....well a bit like looking through brown, frosted glass. But we made it.

Sometimes we love the beauty of what we see. And Ukraine really is beautiful.
This photo was taken as we stopped for lunch.
The rest of the day was spent trying to organise our next aid run which starts early next week, back to Kharkiv. It never fails to amaze me how complicated the logistics of an aid run can be. We have been asked to transport 500kg of plastic sheeting, which is used to replace windows that have been damaged by shelling. Most people, unless their homes are totally destroyed, choose to remain. It's vital to make them watertight and windproof, as much as possible.
The sheeting is being given by an English charity but they don't have anyone to transport it in Ukraine. It's currently in Poland and we are trying to work out how to get it to us in Lviv, asap. Not as easy as you would think. A solution will be found.
