We left Odesa early, on our way to collect aid for a hospital...

We stayed in a place called Khmelnytskyi, which is regularly attacked by missile strikes. We often passed through here during the winter and saw the hardship of a place with no electricity, heating or light.
Things on that front have improved. But the death toll of soldiers who have died fighting for Ukraine, from this area, rises.
Here, they remember those that have fallen, by having photos and their details lining the street. It's a sobering way of having a pedestrian precinct. But a forceful one. Two of the soldiers we noted were 19 and 21 years old. Our son, Sam, is 21 today. Makes you think.
Our thoughts are with the relatives and families. May their deaths not be in vain.
