Arrival in Krakow

We arrived in Krakow late afternoon. The couple whose bedsit we have rented for the first week took us to the main railway station to see if they could introduce us to someone (and translate, if needed). We found  several disparate groups and people walking around with yellow volunteer vests. We discovered a level of bureaucracy that relates to concerns about people trafficking, which seem valid e.g., there was a man holding up a sign, "15 PEOPLE WANTED FOR GERMANY!" We found it difficult to explain that we are not actually trying to take refugees back to the UK ourselves! Luckily, someone overheard our conversation and said that she is working with volunteers helping refugees, which sounded like it was the equivalent of the local council in Krakow. We have a contact and will follow that up tomorrow.
