Volunteers
Today was a bit of a sad day, as one of the volunteers was going back to the USA, having done his stint. Fernando, originally from Mexico city now resident in USA. Boundless energy,a bit bossy if you let him be, but with a heart as big as a harvest moon. Emotional endings don't describe it. We will all, who have been here, carry memories of what we have seen and who we have met. Many transient faces, each leaving a brushstroke on a canvas. All this due to one person, who can take away the conscious of à nation.
However, we continue with our work. This time, an older couple Darwen bound. Someone who had driven 15 hours because he thought we might be able to help him. Where do you start to make sense of what we see and what people will do for safety. Tomorrow it will be repeated.
