Krakow to Trawden

We had breakfast with our Ukrainian friends/colleagues in Krakow this morning before going to the airport. By an amazing coincidence we happened to sit beside the American doctor we met in Lviv - Michael, also flying home but perhaps returning with his wife.

Trawden was cold and wet, but we had a warm welcome from the first Ukrainian family to move to Trawden all those weeks ago. This included homemade borscht and pierogi! A taste of both Poland and Ukraine.

There is bunting everywhere for the forthcoming Queen"s jubilee, but it was nice to see the Ukrainian flag flying alongside the Union Jack in Colne.
