Most improbable.....

Today was a very useful day. We have found a large refugee centre in which we will be working from and be based. We will however, continue to move around various sites.
We think we have sorted out our translators. And we have met with one of our translators, who will kindly print off the màterial we need.
The refugee centre is a mixture of prefab pods, about the size of shipping containers, and then rooms with far too many people in them, 60-90, women, children, men. The conditions are challenging. Again food is provided and we will also get involved with that.
More people are arriving every day putting a lot of strain on the families. UNICEF is also here giving support. But no one can even begin to replace what they have lost. Will they ever get it back, or will the things that they have experienced and suffered remain a lifetime?
And that's why, maybe for some families the UK scheme offers some sanctuary and opportunity.
The site itself though, is in the most improbable of places. In one of the largest and most beautiful parks in Lviv. At least twice the size of Hyde Park in London. The photo is of one of the fountains in the park. Such a peaceful place, sheltering those who have been bombed out of their homes whose future is filled with uncertainty.
