Daddy's taking us to the zoo tomorrow, zoo tomorrow, zoo tomorrow, we will stay all day.
We'll, if nothing else, the children in our English classes, 15 today, will know a range of children's songs. It's amazing how quickly they pick up the words and music. Because the lessons are so relaxed and informal, a lot of the children have become much more confident. Mind you, one or two have no difficulty in stepping forward :) unbridled enthusiasm. A star 8s born. Today we involved the parents as well. However it might take them awhile to recover from my singing...
Next we were able to share out with the help of our Ukranian friends, some of the humanitarian aid that has been given to us. Mainly baby clothes and women's sanitary items. It works better if Ukranians are involved. And organise. It was nice to see how things were shared out, and how best use was made of the items.
Finally we had the lovely news that two sisters and their children have arrived safely in England, in about 2 weeks since we got the first message and telephone contact to us from Kharkiv.. A big thank you to all who helped, especially MAD, and the sponsors, who opened their home and hearts to take in this family.
I would also like to thank all that have helped us here. Today again, the shop sent nearly £45 in donations. Your kindness, in whatever you give, makes a difference.
Strange photo of the day..... what are the chances......a shop in Lviv selling beer from the Saltaire Brewery in Shipley....?
