Everyday hardships..
...do not disappear, even in times of war. We saw a woman on the street with two kittens, asking for support. We thought that she was asking for support for the kittens, and we had actually gone to a shop and bought kitten food. In fact when we started trying to communicate with her, it was obvious that the challenges ran deeper.
Just reminded me that, even though there is a war on, the challenges that some people face do not go away. Mental health, drug dependency, abusive relationships, homelessness, etc, do not go away. We helped as best we could with the support of others.
Today we did our fruit bar again, and that is working really well. Costs about £50 a day to run. Any support gratefully received.
English lessons remain fun with people putting in a lot of effort. Some of the people in the classes are bound for Trawden and Colne. I hope that they will be able to put it to good use
