Plans...

.... sometimes they go right.... And sometimes they don't. A really busy day today, felt as if we didn't draw breath. Both of us deeply involved in helping individuals...arranging video calls, visa applications, looking at flights to Manchester. Trying to source tourniquets. And maybe the most curious, being in a group discussing how to get 8 mini trampolines from the USA to Krakow and then to Lviv and children's centres.

There is always pleasure for us when we hear from families that visas have been granted. We know a further step is taken. A family hopefully closer to some security, but knowing that there is also a profound sadness in leaving your country. At least for a while.

I would like to mention a so called              "medical battalion" here in Lviv. They source and obtain desperately needed medical supplies, which can be in short supply, and send them to the front line. And run by volunteers. And no Micky mouse operation this. Well organised and motivated. Definitely worthy of support.

And now something that didn't work out. A council that did not approve accommodation for a mother and young child as the room was too small. Councils have the responsibility to protect refugees, but sometimes they have no understanding of the conditions back here.

And now to the photo of the day. How about this for your next external home decoration...

And now
