We can't believe where the time has gone..

since we have been back in England with our families. In amongst this we remember the service that our Queen gave to this country and the sorrow that people feel.
I have no great insights into what our families must feel, going through all the bureaucracy, but they must find it difficult.....and then there is the new reality. Being in a foreign country, where the norms may be different. Of children whose dads are not here, and women who were together in a family suddenly having to take on, by themselves, the bringing up of their children. Having to set boundaries when, given the circumstances, they may want to give more leeway.
We sat round the table tonight, trying to find solutions to some of these challenges. A way forward was found.
Forming, storming norming.....if only it was like in the textbooks.
We realised today how much we are going to miss everyone here. We really do love them to bits.
The very enjoyable part, except that many of my body parts do not agree, was walking up the local hill that overlooks our village. Boulsworth Hill. The beauty of our locality never fails to take my breath away.
