A Tale of Two Vans

Bohdan and Bohumila.( Apologies to Dickens)
Bohdan was a Cossack Hetman
From the 1648 Bohdan Khmelnytsky uprising, Hetman was the title of the head of the Cossack state, the Cossack Hetmanate. Cossack hetmans had very broad powers and acted as supreme military commanders and executive leader (by issuing administrative decrees)
Ok.
So that's our grey van, photo above. Today it was brought over from Krakow by Tomasz, packed with really good aid. We were able to add some additional medicines to the van, which we were able to source.
Bohumila, our second van, alas as far as I can research has nothing particularly famous to its name. The feminine form of Bohumil.
How did they get their names and why am I even bothering with this? Well, for now, while Fiona remains in hospital, Bohdan remains in Lviv. I will take the aid as soon as possible thereafter.

Back to the naming. All I can say, and no names of the people involved will be named, it centred round an evening in Krakow, where a sufficiency of vodka was available. And the vans were christened. We won't repeat some of the names suggested. So there we are. This at least is my vague recollection.

I, personally, have to say that I prefer Bohumila. Although wheels occasionally fall off, she is by far the better van.

On a positive note, Fiona has had a better day today, and is up and doing some gentle walking around the room.
