Spring?

March 1 is the first day of Spring here but I couldn't see much sign of it in our local park, other than a squirrel out of hibernation and the guitar-playing busker back in his usual place...
The sun is beginning to have some warmth, though, so maybe this is the beginning of the end of Winter. What we can say, for sure, is that Putin's tactic of terrorising Ukraine into submission through cold and darkness, by repeatedly targeting its energy infrastructure, has failed. I think there are a lot of unsung heroes - the technicians who, after each attack on power stations, work round-the-clock to repair them and keep the country going. We know there have been a number of injuries and some deaths amongst these workers.

Bob has been quite poorly with COVID so I have let him off doing the blog today! I am still testing negative, fingers crossed.

Today's blue and yellow photo - these flower baskets (we think) line the main street of Haisyn, one of the towns we regularly pass through. Hopefully, they will be full of flowers one day...
