The rambling kidney is tamed..

After many years of freedom, Fiona's right kidney is now attached where it should be. A filament now holds it in place just under the liver. The other problems with the kidney have also been addressed following a 5+ hour operation in a Lviv hospital, where I have to say, all staff have been so good, right down to the bounciest cheerful tea woman you could ever meet. She's also convinced that we speak fluent Ukrainian!!
Fiona is being well looked after, and trying to rest. From her hospital window, winter is still visible, with snow on the ground.

It will take awhile for Fiona to recover.
If ever I needed reminding, that we are a team, and that we live and work as a team, supported by others, then this period has brought it into sharp focus. I can't wait for it to continue.
