Easter × 2....

Just as we had the two Christmases awhile back, we now have, upcoming, two Easters due to the different calendars, Julian and Gregorian. Whichever Easter is celebrated, one week apart, I hope it brings some joy and peace here, and does not divide further.

In the market today I was able to buy a traditional dry flower arrangement....so much work and skill. As always, the market amazes me with it's humour and vibrancy. And the fact that the market is, by and large, the most reflective of fruit and vegetables that are in season. No strawberries here. But the sweetest parsnips and carrots etc. I suspect everything is organic.

On a much more mundane issue, we rearranged the aid in the van to get as much as we could into Bohdan. We were also able, with a recent donation, to buy some dog food to take with me.
The photo above is interesting for the van behind ours. We are never alone here. The van belongs to the Maltese Cross. Doctors and nurses who work here in Ukraine. We first met them in the food tents in Krakow. Again, people who care.

As usual, we try to plan ahead..... tomorrow I set off for Chernihiv Oblast and our Polish colleague, Tomasz, is setting off from Krakow with a van load of blankets in the second van, Bohumila, to leave with a volunteer in Lviv for ongoing distribution. However, the gods have decided that there will be heavy snow showers.....of course there would be....
