Just when I thought there might not be anything interesting to write about today...

...there was Bob having a cup of tea, joined by a group of wild pigs! This was at a service station near Uman, after we had been on the road for 10 hours. The sows and piglets just appeared from the dense woodland, had a drink of water next to the service station, hung around us for a while and then went on their way, we hope avoiding the busy main road...

I asked Bob if he felt any compunction, having eaten the neck of one of these animals for his dinner last night. He said, "No."

Early this morning we left our apartment in Lviv for the last time. We've enjoyed living here for the last 9 months.
We stopped at the Mitsubishi garage in Ternopil to collect some boxes left for us by the Penparcau community in Wales. We will keep the teddies and other items for children for the second stage of this aid run, which will be to Mykolaiv and Kherson.

After a long, hot day on the road, we relaxed in the  main square of Uman.

It's nice to see children enjoying themselves, as they should be able to do anywhere.
