The van's back on the road.
It's been really hard these last few days, insofar as we've been unable to be on the road with the van, as the head gasket had blown.
However, today we got the news that it had been repaired. That, in itself, would have been good news. However, because of what we do, the garage charged a fraction of the cost of the repair. Highly skilled in what they do, they just get on with it. I don't want to mention who they are for safety reasons. But I can't thank them enough.
The chief mechanic came and explained all that he had done. And O, the person who had made it all happen. All were there to shake our hands as we drove away in the rain. Strangers a short time ago, now friends. We were humbled once more by the generosity, good will and kindness of the people we meet in Ukraine.
Their passion is not diminished. Nor ours....we plan now for our next aid run.
